We had our dream wedding at Merlin international on 08th sept 2024.The venue's lush gardens and elegant decor exceeded our expectations. Positive- 1. hotel is right behind platform 2 of railway station, so it's walkable 2. Good ambience and spacious lawn with child play area 3. Easy to access location for transport and temples nearby 4. Tasty breakfast and food 5. Good service but can improvise a lot. Negatives 1. Price - can be flexible as you allow 24 hr checkin and there is a difference online and offline. 2. Room access keys should be charged and not made as inconvenience 3. Provide more water drinking facilities, 500ml x 2 bottles for a stay of 2 people for the entire day with 40 degrees, is sad 4. Booking confirmation to be sent soon once confirmed, hence there won't be any confusion or inconvenience like I faced. 5. No lift, hence be prepared to climb up and down.
One of the best hotels to stay in Thrissur. Mr. Ranjith as a receptionist was exceptional. The stay is pleasant and the room service comes fast too. There's all the basic amenities surrounding the hotel. It's the perfect spot to stay and plan your vacation. They have tour packages too thus you can make your stay better. It's very near the railway station thus it becomes an ideal choice.
. Overall experience Above expected. . Main drawback is that there's no LIFT ? - Very serious issue as all rooms are from 1st floor. . We booked a family room and it was really spacious with a fridge and other facilities. . The toilet is good - not advanced. . Breakfast is as per booking. . They have room service from 8 am. . There is a restaurant also. . Check in at 1 pm and check out 12 noon. . Overall I felt very happy though we used the room for 5 hours.
Stayed here for my sisters reception and the only good thing I can say is that it's close to railway station (you can literally walk it). That's where the good part ends. Our room was full of mosquito, bathroom smelled like sewage and we had no hot water, or rather no water. We did not bother letting the front desk know who seemed frazzled by arrival of so many guests together. No lift either and all room are 1st floor and above, so heads up to anyone with knee or leg problem.
