Rooms are just Okay Only but the Price seems to be affordable than Near by Hotels. Bar Cost will be with in the Budget and Food Quality / Taste was Nice. Perfect 10 given for it's Fantastic Location / Space / Car Park / Scenic.
Stayed in Feb 2024 for one night with family, have stayed many times in KTDC garden house Malampuzha in the past two decades. It is really a good hotel and has been renovated, but can be further improved upon. It is best for bed and breakfast. The Pros: *Very calm and serene *Located on hilltop so very airy *Spacious rooms *Clean bathrooms *Very close to Malampuzha dam, can be seen from the room *Tasty food * Very reasonable room rates The cons: *Restaurant closes after 9 pm *Can look Desolate, as malampuzha is away from the main palakkad City but it is safe *Hot water availability to be improved upon *Hardly any food options...only chapati ,chicken curry and beef fry at night till 9 pm, and in the morning only plain dosa with sambar and chutney.. Maybe because there are less customers in the season I stayed . *Room no 201 shower needs repair, Lock to be tightened Would definitely recommend the hotel for solo or family stay, but no high end facilities to be expected as seen in 4-5 star hotels in cities, like multicuisine menu, spa, swimming pool, etc especially when it's not the season.... DON'T EXPECT TOO MUCH as seen in hotels located in main cities, you will be disappointed.

Government owned Hotel. Beautiful view of the Dam and the Hills. Neat and spacious rooms.
Great place to stay in Malampuzha, right near the dam and gardens. The property offers great rooms at great prices, with good service and ample car parking. The in house restaurant serves tasty food, but they may need to be informed in advance for lunch/ dinner.
