The location is very nice.. Rooms are looks very old and need maintenance and renovation. Restaurant service is very poor and will take an hr to deliver food. After checkin, go directly to restaurant to order the food, 4.30 pm is the tea time and 5 pm, the house boat trip will start. To avoid the rush, its better to go restaurant after check in. The place is very nice, its nearby the finishing point of boat race. Speed boat service will be arranged by the resort with additional charges. The restaurant and room services need more improvement.
Rooms need improvement, old and worn out. Suite rooms are good for location and privacy. Heritage cottage also nice .Initially we had booked lake view premium, these rooms appear maintained but we were put up in a room with a door closed in between and some other guests behind that door. Restaurant needs lot of improvement, taste of food and service both. Staff is good in resort, reception staff is wonderful. Overall a nice experience. Property is well located , well maintained. Cruise ? was very good with shikara too praiseworthy.
Hi everyone We stayed at this property for 2 nights. I have never seen any property like this especially a beautiful lake view. Staff was very cooperative especially thanks to Mr. Yash a young talented and smart boy. We wish to visit again and again. I suggest everyone Indian even foreigners if they visit Kerala they should stay at this property.
Sterling Lake Palace is a great resort and has the most friendly and hospitable staff. The resort also arranged a house boat stay for us. Unlike other house boats in the area, Lake Palace boat gets docked by the resort which made it more comfortable for my kids to enjoy the amenities and the pool in the resort in the evening and not get stuck in the room with the TV. We highly recommend the resort to anyone travelling from either within India for a short trip or for folks like us traveling from US with multiple destinations in travel plan. Sterling has many sites all across India which makes it easier to book your entire vacation in multiple cities with Sterling.
I recommend to stay here. They have good customer service and cleanliness. Nice area. Some of the rooms are good and some needs bit of improvement. Property is well maintained. I would like to see more traditional food in the kitchen/restaurant. They have to look at more varieties of food.
